Holography Unlike normal photographs, you can cut up holographic film and each part contains all the information processed by the whole. The object that is photographed is illuminated by a laser beam, then a second laser beam is bounced off the reflected light of the first and what you get on the film is a confusing swirl of dark and light lines. This is the result of the interference when the two beams blend together. But when you shine a third laser beam on the film a three dimensional image of the object appears which is difficult to tell from the original object. Unlike the original object you could walk through a hologram if it is large enough. David Bohm collaborated with Bell on his famous theorem. This led to Alain Aspect and others to prove that electrons can instantaneously communicate information with each other no matter how far they are apart. This violated Einstein's belief that no communication can travel faster that the speed of light. The key word here is information. Bohm believed Aspects findings show that objective reality does not exist, that the universe is a phantasm, a gigantic detailed Hologram. Bohm believed that the reason particles are able to remain in contact is because their separateness is an illusion, they are actually extensions of the same fundamental something. This sounds like Panpsychism doesn't it? |
