The Theory of Everything

Two opposing theories vie for the T.O.E.. The prevailing theory is gravity based, but the Plasma Universe Model is alive and well. No two theories could seem to be further apart. The Gravity model with its Big Bang, Black holes, dark matter and mathematical constructs of multiple dimensions is the mainstream theory. To them, the word Plasma is almost a dirty word.

But to the Plasma advocates the Gravity model is a failed concept. They believe the force of gravity is simply too  weak and is overwhelmed by the power of the Plasma forces. Plasma flares shoot out from our Sun in spite of Sun's strong gravitational pull. The plasma of the solar wind extends out to the orbit of Pluto. Probes that have left the solar system are still detecting plasma. 99.99% of the entire universe is composed of plasma. Plasma can be created and measured in the laboratory; while gravity cannot.

Still, the Plasma advocates have not worked out the mathematics to prove their theories. To many of the mainstream, the Plasma model seems more like a religion than a science, but then the same could be said of the gravity group who are continually plugging holes in their theories with ideas that often seem fantastic.

Both theories have been around for about the same time and science would be better served if the two factions would cooperate. I am not holding my breath until that happens. Both sides have too much invested emotionally and would have to eat too much crow to get together very soon.
