Creationism vs. Scientism

Most of us pantheists have rejected the story of creation as contained in the Bible. Creationism is loaded down with dogma. Since it seems to be human nature to want to fill a void, we eagerly embraced evolution. Many biologists say the origin of life by evolution is not a theory but a FACT. Unfortunately this fact has a lot of holes in it. It is particularly deficient when it explains the origin of Life and even more lacking when it attempts to explain Consciousness.

One of the things most religions require is faith. In this sense Scientism would qualify as a religion. Science, like religion, has its dogma. Most biologists would have us believe that life on earth spontaneously formed in the "organic soup." Yet if we examine the probability of this happening our facts require miracles to happen. "You must have faith my child." What does it matter that the proteins needed for life require a bigger number of random chances than the number atoms in the visible world? After all, 10 to the 113th power isn’t that big a number. This is the number that one biologist, an evolutionist, calculated is necessary for a protein to have happened by chance. Of course if you like really big numbers calculate the number of chances needed for the 2000 enzymes needed for the cells activity to have happened by chance. Try 10 to the 40,000th power. Now that’s a really impressive number. These odds are from evolutionist, mathematician, astronomer Sir Fred Hoyle. Hoyle said, “If the entire universe were “organic soup” there still wouldn’t have been enough.”
